Small orders with many SKUs turn the picking area into a bottleneck in many beverage plants.
Three common improvements: separate full-pallet and mixed-pallet flows; use low-level order pickers (such as the STILL OPX) with long forks carrying two pallets; and re-slot goods by pick frequency (ABC). At high volumes, automated trucks can replenish the picking zone.
